Nui ke aloha to everyone who came out to todayʻs kuʻi at the Capitol. It was a huge success in showing how much support there is for kuʻiʻai and for the legalization of the sale of paʻiʻai. Although I was saddened by the way that representative Herkes (from Big Island) treated us and the reasons he used to justify his position, against SB101. I was also inspired that I didnʻt even pound one kalo today. There are many of us, we are growing and the need for kanaka kuʻi and kuʻiʻai education is greater than ever.
